Metropolitan Atlanta Recovery Residences (MARR) selected Brunning & Stang to act as Construction Consultant for two new facilities in the Atlanta area. MARR is a private, non-profit organization established in 1975 to provide long-term residential treatment for men and women affected by chemical dependency. MARR has been dedicated to bringing lasting recovery through high quality, gender-specific treatment programs.
The Women's Center opened in January, 2007 in Lawrenceville. B&S assisted in raising over $4.5 million for this worthwhile cause. The funds were used to build this facility and are being used for the Men's center now under construction in Clayton County. The Men's Center is expected to be completed by the end of 2007 and open to patients. B&S coordinated the design of both projects with the Architect, Tracy Ward of Benchmark Design; the Civil Engineer, Estes-Shields Engineering; and the builder, Guy Cramb of Village Homes. The Lawrenceville center was built on time and under budget. It will be home to 31 women recovering from drug and alcohol addiction.
You can find out more about MARR at www.marrinc.com. Brunning & Stang encourages clients, contractors, vendors, friends and employees to contribute to this organization which has saved so many lives in the depths of despair.
